The LU Biscuit Company, a campaign to boycott French products, also took to the field

Karachi LU Biscuits maker has clarified that they have nothing to do with France.

An explanatory statement from LU's parent company, Continental Biscuits Limited, said it was a Pakistani company run by Pakistanis and the majority of its shareholders were Pakistanis. LU Biscuits is a product of Continental Biscuits Limited and Continental Biscuits Limited is responsible for their distribution and sale.

"We make it clear that Continental Biscuits Limited and LU Biscuits, manufactured in Pakistan, do not belong to any French company and do not own the property in France," the company said in a statement. Continental Biscuits strongly condemns the blasphemous act committed in honor of our beloved Prophet (SAW) in France.

The statement further said that Continental Biscuits Limited has won the hearts of millions of Pakistanis with LU Biscuits. Our biscuits, which are made in Pakistan, are very popular among children, the elderly and the young. Continental Biscuits Limited is not just a company based in Pakistan, we are proud to have provided employment to more than 4500 Pakistani families through us and we also boost Pakistan's economy by exporting LU Biscuits worldwide.
